Kue Putu

Kue putu, lezat cita rasa Indonesia 😋

Kue Putu merupakan salah satu kuliner asli Indonesia. Kue basah ini disajikan dalam bentuk gulungan (tabung) yang di dalamnya diisi gula merah. Rasanya sudah jelas enak, manis, dan lembut saat dikunyah. Makan sepotong pasti dijamin nambah lagi (ini mah curhatan si penulis saja 😅 hehehe).

Kue putu berbahan dasar tepung beras dan dicampur sedikit tepung ketan ditambah parutan kelapa. Bahan-bahan tersebut dicampur dan diaduk rata, dimasukan ke dalam cetakan khusus yang terbuat dari bambu biar lebih natural. Selain bahan-bahan tersebut, tidak lupa diisi juga gula merah di bagian tengahnya. Setelah itu dimasak dengan cara di taruh di atas uap yang dihasilkan dari sebuah pemanas. Kue putu matang setelah dipanaskan kurang lebih selama satu sampai dua menit. Setelah itu siap disajikan dengan parutan kelapa dan seres di atasnya. Nah, di bawah ini beberapa foto yang diambil pas ketemu pedagang kue putu tadi siang.

Dari sumber yang saya baca, ternyata kue putu sudah ada sejak penjajahan Belanda di Indonesia. Biasanya kue ini dibuat dan disantap saat sore menjelang malam. Penyajiannya akan lebih nikmat jika disantap bersama dengan susu hangat.

Ada satu hal yang masih mengganjal di pikiran saya. Kenapa namanya kue putu? Dari hasil wawancara beberapa teman dan google juga, nama kue putu belum jelas datangnya dari mana. Jika dilihat dari bahasa Jawa, putu diartikan sebagai cucu, tapi apa hubungannya dengan kue ini? Apa karena bentuknya imut dan lembut seperti cucu? Hahahaha, saya belum paham. Besok, kalau saya ketemu lagi sama penjualnya, pasti akan saya tanya.

Math Week Event

Geometrical Sudoku Board Last week SHI Bali had Math Week Event. This event was started from February 5 to 9, 2018. This event was conducted by teachers under principal supervision. Students, teachers, and parents were involved to this event. Math week event was held to build the sense of Math to us. " Math is everywhere" , we'd like to give experiences about mathematics to all of us through this event. Within a week of school days, we did lot of activities related to Math. One of the activity was Math Game. Math teachers provided some math games for the students. Students reviewed or learned math by doing the game. This activity could be a strategy for the teachers to make math become fun and interesting. Here I post some pictures when the grade 8-9 students were enjoying Math Games during Math Week Event.
